I am originally from a small town in Ohio, but was raised in the Bay Area in Northern California. I have always had a love for makeup and remember as a child asking if I could wear makeup to school. My mother would generally say no, but then tell me I could wear it on the weekends or after school, so I would be anxiously awaiting that moment. I even graduated high school early so that I could go to beauty school and get an esthetician license, which at the time I thought was the way to "learn" how to do makeup, ha ha! For those of you who have been to beauty school you know what I'm saying. Needless to say, my path took me down various roads of work- salon, retail, advertising, wardrobe, then finally led back to makeup. So I studied at Make-up Designory and with renowned makeup artist Margaret Kimura at MKC Beauty Academy. I enjoy doing makeup and continue to do it on a part time basis. My other endeavors include first and foremost my son Seneca, practicing Kundalini Yoga, meditating, and last but certainly not least, constantly striving to learn, grow, and expand my awareness. ~ Quiet the mind and things will come naturally ~
